Good news or bad news

Owen's ear seemed a bit more swollen again this morning and Louisa got a call from school at lunchtime because Owen had knocked it and it really hurt.
GP said to go into Children's Assessment to see ENT.
Children's Assessment said to go through A&E.
Louisa went back to the GP who offered an emergency appointment and a referral to ENT via Children's Assessment. 

Why can't it just be straightforward.... 

In school though Owen got a Headteacher Award for his maths and, this time, didn't lose his sticker.
