Crown
After spending an hour and a half in the dentist’s chair this morning, I was presented with this and told to keep it safe.
It seemed scant reward for the “torture” I’d been subjected to - even more so when I discovered that the reason I had to keep it safe was in case the temporary crown I’d just been fitted with became detached over the next couple of weeks.
And now the anaesthetic has worn off, I feel (and look!) like I’ve been kicked in the face by a horse, and am scared stiff of eating anything in case I do something that might dislodge the aforesaid temporary crown.
I return three weeks today for the actual crown to be fitted. Until then, my diet is going to consist only of “mushy” foods to be on the safe side.
And did I mention that I was relieved of £300 for the morning’s activities?
And that was just an interim payment…
