Down By The River

Mrs C has finally succumbed to whatever lurgy laid me low last week, though she wasn’t feeling too bad this morning and fancied some fresh air.
Decided we would park up and walk along the river into town. A very leisurely pace with frequent stops. Just near the footbridge, we paused to look at the ducks and they immediately made a beeline for us, no doubt expecting some food.
As soon as they realised that we did not come bearing anything edible, they dispersed fairly quickly and we continued on our way. Despite a leisurely stop for a coffee, Mrs C was quite tired by the time we got home so it’s been a very quiet afternoon.
Next week kicks off with the joys of a ninety minute dentist appointment tomorrow morning, so things can only get better after that…
