Round Round

Why be in one play, when you can be in two at the same time. Well, basically because it’s very difficult to fit in two sets of rehearsals each week.
But I have been asked to take on a small part in a play at Staveley Roundhouse, which is on the week after the Lancaster production. It’s going to be tight, but it is doable as the Staveley part is only a handful of lines in one scene with very little movement involved.
And as Lancaster rehearsals are later this week, I was able to attend Staveley tonight and run through my lines and where they fit in the play. It was good to hear the rest of the play as well, and I think it’s going to be a cracking bit of drama.
I can’t attend any more rehearsals at Staveley until the beginning of March, so I’ll try and get the lines learnt by then. Hopefully have a couple of run throughs before the performance to get everything settled into place.
I now realise that there is only one month in the last six that I haven’t been involved in two productions at the same time. I really must learn to pause and think for a bit when asked if I’d be interested in taking part in something. Probably still say “yes” though…
