I Need A Leash!

We had breakfast, packed the car and were on our way by 9:00 am. We always stop at Yoder’s so I can look for new stocking stuffers. The girls mentioned needing mini tongs for appetizer trays. Got ‘em. We stopped at the hotel in Pulaski to pick up the mug we left on our way to TN. Next stop was a really neat store/restaurant, The Draper Mercantile. I looked around while waiting for our meal. We had tasty sandwiches and a loaded baked potato. Hubby checked out their merchandise and we left at 1:00 pm. Next stop was for gas. I borrowed money in case I wanted a treat from hubby because my purse was buried under stuff in the back seat. Big mistake!! He got really tired so we stopped at a rest area. I had tried to stay awake so I could get fun shots for my blip. Hope you like them. The bottom center shot is a small home being carried down the highway. It felt good to rest. We got to our hotel at 6:00 pm and took out all the necessary items. We had put stuff just for tonight in one bag each. Hmmm, my purse wasn’t under my coat or anything else in the back seat. I left it on my chair at lunch!. It was too late to speak with anyone at the Mercantile, they were closed. We’ll have an 8 hour round trip back to Draper tomorrow instead of a 3 hour trip home!! I had to cancel my dental appointment for Wednesday morning and hope we get home by 3:00 for my asthma check up. Hubby found us another hotel in Charlottesville for tomorrow night. My children are going to set me up on ApplePay so I can just leave my purse in the car. I simply walk off without it way too often. Maybe I can figure a way to attach it to my clothing or wrist (or neck)…. Hubby wasn’t upset and I tried not to be. He had left the coffee mug and has left his wallet and phone as well. We are old folks I guess. But the tears are right behind my eye lids. So, guess we’ll get up early and hit the road, just head in the wrong direction! Wishing you more attentiveness and less anxiety. Stay safe . Thanks for the visit. "When you make a mistake, respond to yourself in a loving way rather than a self-shaming way." – Ellie Holcomb
