We’re Back!

We were awake before 6:00, probably just anxious. We had bagels, bananas and coffee and got on the road. We stopped for gas, took a break at a rest area and got to the restaurant in less than 4 hours. They had my purse in the office. I actually knew exactly where it was because I have a Tile tracker on my purse and the new air buds must have that technology built in because they kept alerting me. When hubby first bought tiles for our keys, wallets, electronics, etc, I wondered how practical they were. We’ve since been quite pleased to have them. They are always finding our stuff that we misplace. Hubby bought a slice of cake while we waited. It was too early for lunch but we wanted to support them. I tried taking our selfie outside several ways but my arm isn’t long enough. So, I had to use his photo for my blip but the extra one in the upper right corner is from my phone. We had lunch near Virginia Tech, stopped for another gas fill up, one more visit to a rest area and finally at a country store to buy some nice cheese. I have small gifts for those who helped out with our packages, etc while we were gone. Hubby drove approximately 330 miles today; glad we booked a room for the evening. No need to take a risk. We will go to the Mexican restaurant we like here in Charlottesville in a bit and then just unwind for the evening. They have a quiet area with a fireplace in the lobby. We can read Kindle and blip journals. Tomorrow, we are stopping at Mancil’s fav shop here in Charlottesville and surprise him and Madi with a treat. They are very thoughtful of us. Madi and Brooklyn made an adorable kitty memory gift for us at Christmas. As the guy at the restaurant told us, everything has a purpose. We should be thankful we are safe and able to change plans easily. Wishing you a quiet evening. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “Some people are a little bit afraid about the future because they see all these gadgets and gizmos coming down the pike and they think they're too old to learn all this new stuff. But eventually they begin to realize, 'Hey, some of this stuff is useful.'” - Michio Kaku
