Life through the lens...

Brass Monkeys.

It was. -7C last night and Paul Hudson, BBC Look North weatherman, says it is going to be even colder tonight, and I was glad to hear him say the meteorological phrase “ Brass Monkeys “!

We did have blue sky and sunshine allday which provided some warmth, especially in our lounge. However the temperature never rose above freezing.
The photos are of our neighbour’s solar panels.
First photo taken at breakfast time, second lunch time and the last one late afternoon.

Mid morning we decided to go out in the car to buy some fish.
Main roads clear.
He was the only stall at the market.
He comes up from Doncaster and said there was hardly any snow where he lives.
Not as much choice of fish, but we bought smoked haddock, cod, and frozen raw prawns.

This afternoon managed to get to hospital for my checkup. No problem with the roads. Only problem was the carpark ticket machine wasn’t working. So problem opening the barrier. Eventually sorted.
I have another lesion on my nose which needs removing. Nothing serious, just needs scraping off. So will wait for an appointment.

Hope you are all managing to keep warm. Take care and stay safe.
