More roses

I bought these for myself in Aldi today. I’m hopeful that they will open. (I generally have bad luck with roses despite doing my best!)

My visit to Margret included attending a craft group with her. The activities’ coordinator had all the materials for 5 ladies to make calendars. I was pleased to see that some stimulation for them, but also sad to see how hard it was for these previously fit women to do the task.

Jenny was there too, but they were not sitting together. Kate came to visit so we were both able to help. Mel, the coordinator, was lovely. She had brought a CD player with carols for the one man in the room. He had “missed” Christmas.

I have decided that the next book I read needs to be uplifting. Jodie Picoult’s The Storyteller was not.
