A very dark day

We may have passed the Winter Solstice, but some days, like today, are very dark. I was glad to see the viburnum at Margaret’s in bloom. We have a couple too. I like the way the tiny, fragrant flowers are set off by old looking, dark branches.

I slept very well - hooray! - and was able to go for my walk in an intermission in the rain. 0.7 miles again.

I’m gradually reacquainting myself with the morning dog walkers.

Joan brought Mum upstairs before lunch so that we could watch the Christmas Vera this afternoon.

Three weeks since my operation and life has fallen into a gentle pattern.
