Christmas Day
Christmas morning and time to field phone calls from absent family members as far apart as Oman , Bath, Shipley and Glasgow before my carriage arrived to whisk me to David and Luca’s for blinis and Bucks Fizz. Also present were Daughter #1 and granddaughter Lucy.It was a lively gathering although my hearing ears were unfortunately left behind by mistake so some of the mumbling of the younger generation was lost to me again.
After rather too many blinis and glasses of BucksFizz, Daughter#1 , Lucy and I left for a late Christmas lunch in Daughter#1’s flat over looking Arthur’s Seat with the afternoon sunshine pouring through the windows. It was a perfect setting.
I have had such a lovely day and if there was anything to miss it was the Christmas dip with my Stromness Selkies who sent such lovely pictures of themselves in the sea wearing their Santa hats. There was no Porty for me today, just a step too far, so I was a teensy bit envious.
I am home now with a mountain of chocolates and alcohol to hand. I must pace myself. All that remains is for me to wish you all a Happy Christmas!
