Here's looking at you kid!
We had a lecture at the camera club on Monday on close up photography. The speaker reminded me of all the kit I have yet rarely use, so I thought I'd better have a practise. This was an old 28mm Nikon manual focus lens reversed on my mirrorless body, aperture F16 (despite the exif data showing different) a bounced flash to illuminate my eye (yes - it's my eye). The one that’s responsible for about 25,000 photos per year.
As it's a reversed lens, the focus point is fixed, but trying to work out where to position my eye for the shot - both in terms of focus and framing - meant I took about 65 photos before I got one I was happy with. This is a full frame image, so I reckon the magnification is about 2x.
I'll choose an easier subject next time!
