Above Grasmere
PLEASE view large - its a 9-shot panorama!
After all the rain, trying to find a walk that wouldn't be too boggy is a major ask. However, with the thermometer reading -4 this morning, at least there was a chance that the boggy bits would be frozen.
Down to Grasmere and walked Silver How, (Wainwright), Lang How (Birkett - never climbed before) and Blea Rigg (Wainwright). Further than we thought, ending up at just over 9 miles, but the icy ground made it really tough - particularly the descent from Blea Rigg, where ice covered large rocky slopes! This little tarn was completely frozen, but the light was great.
Sore knees by the end.
