Sally Mair - Loving life

Night lights

We had a quiet day today, enjoying having clothes out on shelves and not having to rummage in our suitcases as we have had to all of the last week. Not that I'm complaining. We've come to realise that our room is one of the best in this hotel too, a sea view on the end of an additional forward facing block of the hotel, we can see Herzeg Novi with its old town to the West and Porto Nove and its marina to the East with nothing else in between. To the south is part of the peninsula of the Bay of Kotor.
I swam this morning, the sea is lovely and warm and beautifully clear, lots of different fish keeping me company. I had a lazy afternoon and slept most of it away, I'm sure it will be a benefit tomorrow.
I realised I hadn't taken any pictures so took some night shots of Porte Nove and we were just settling down when they were a couple of loud bangs. We grabbed the phones and went out onto the balcony to find the most spectacular firework display taking place on the water right in front of our room so my blip is both the initial night shots and then the fireworks.
We're off to Herzeg Novi tomorrow with a couple of others from our trip.
Just in case you haven't noticed and want to see them, I've uploaded three blips today and finally caught up again.
