Domestic Goddess

This is a pre chopping and cooking blip of the ingredients for my ever so healthy vegetable stew. I have discovered that  the best place for me to buy vegetables singly is M&S. Forget Tesco and Safeway convenience stores or also it seems my  local Lidl. I don’t need a family sized bag of carrots or parsnips or even 3 huge onions in a net but I learned my lesson too late this morning when I bypassed M&S in favour of my local shops only to find they weren’t in favour of loose vegetables.

The sunshine streaming through my windows spurred me on to do a massive clean  up in the kitchen including throwing out accumulated carrier bags kept beside my cacti pots at the window. It’s so long since I’ve done it that I found a fair few flies who had drawn their last breath in the same corner. I am feeling so  empowered  having  been so ruthless with the bags  and flies that I intend going through the other cupboards above and  binning everything  with a ‘use by’ date of anything less than 2024. I have a feeling the cupboards will be really bare!
