Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Watching me, watching you!

Well after our lovely day, we had a very disturbed night with the girls last night. Their mum was here but I don't know whether they were triggering each other - they weren't in the same room, but the baby alarm and Bonnie were in with Ali, so maybe Josie being disturbed disturbed her too. Whichever, we ended up not going to swimming this morning which was a shame for Josie but the right decision for the adults think.
We had a very laid back morning, but very happy. After they'd gone home, I cleared up the bomb site then headed out to Tesco. A ready meal was in order!
When I got back I was in contact both with the rectory power supplier and our own. More success with the Rectory account which in some ways was a pain but in others a good thing.
I met this magpie at the top of my drive when I got back. He was sitting on a pot around two feet from me and once he realised I was safely locked away in my car he got very bold.
They're not my favourite bird, they are very mean to the smaller birds in the garden and noisily decimate the bird feeders. Having said that they are very handsome.
Quiz night tonight, I was very on the ball for Only Connect, especially for the first half of the quiz solving four or five of the questions after two clues. Go me!
I couldn't stay awake for University Challenge though so that is saved for another night.
I'm hoping for a long undisturbed sleep tonight!
