Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

sunshine and showers

Although to be frank most of the showers came after the sunshine!
I enjoyed my full nights sleep last night and could probably have kept going long into today. I had some phone calls to make though and then had to head out to the charity shop.
I'm so enjoying going out and being part of a team again even although I don't know everyone yet. They're already taking about a Christmas night out - such excitement.
Today was a major learning curve-learning to use the till. I haven't done that since I worked in the tube and accounts departments in Binns in the 70s. The lady teaching me was well into her 80s so I've no excuse really.
I dropped some stuff up at Katy's and picked up our gift of Macaroni cheese made by Isobel. That may well be tomorrow's blip.
We headed down to Newhaven harbour to the Fish Shop there and picked up some delicious haddock. It's good to see the fishing boats in the harbour. I always think how little they are to go and brave those big seas. The waves were high today, but these boats and their crews are at least safe in harbour.
I notice I've managed to capture the giant lighthouse gull too!
