Proper scones!

Another nice day. But there was a bit of a nip in the air, which I noticed when I took Archie out for his walk wearing my cardi, and not my jacket. Or my hat.

I continued with my holiday research, while JR made some proper scones for visitors. She used almost the same three ingredients, with the added magic touch of Baking powder! And they were fabulous! Also, she did them in the oven. 
She was on a roll, and made a tea loaf as well.

Mary and Alice came over for afternoon tea, which included bubbly, and a good blether about things, mainly holidays.  In this photo, several of scones had been removed - I wasn’t quick enough to get a shot of the brimming basket.
