Diary of an Edinburgher

Autumny chill in the air

JR had a busy day, as usual. Me - not so much, as usual. I did take Archie out in the afternoon, and again in the evening before his tea, but apart from that I've been on the sofa - reading the papers, watching the rolling news, frequent trips to the fridge... I watched another episode of Ludwig, which is quirky and watchable.

JR went into town with her Gym pal. The lure of two free coffees at her favourite shop was enough. Window shopping and browsing was done. Then she popped over to see Hazel's new purchases that she needed advice on.

I made chips again - I've still not perfected them (that’s my excuse anyway). Smaller ones, this time, with a teaspoon of oil. But we have to leave the kitchen completely while Archie has his tea. Honestly, if we're there, even if we're not going near the air fryer, he will stop and look suspiciously round at every move. So he has to be in the kitchen ON HIS OWN till he's finished and then he can hide away in the front room, with two doors shut between him and the bleeps. And the tv volume up a bit louder than usual.
