Bus Pass Walk

Backblip for Tuesday 17/9.  6 buses and a train used today as we had a trip out to Grassington.  The Skipton to Grassington bus travels through stunning countryside. Due to timetables we even had time for a coffee stop at a very friendly cafe in Skipton.  Once in Grassington we set off on a walk to Linton Falls (main image). Very pretty, and I guess they would be even better after lots of rain.  We then walked to the ancient church of St Michael - lovely church with fine beautiful stained glass windows and interesting memorial crosses (extras).  We then took the route through fields alongside the river, and passing the old watermill, back to Grassington. A gloriously sunny day - even the sheep were lying in the shade behind a wall (extras).  Nice lunch and a Yorkshire Dales ice cream in Grassington and a wander round before catching the bus back to Skipton, train to Bingley then bus back to the village.  A very good day out.
