Breakaway

Backblip.  My step sister was coming up to York for a few days so my daughter and I decided to go over for a couple of nights.  Lovely hotel in a fairly central but quiet street.  Train ran to time so we left our bags and went for a wander near the Minster.  Found the Minster Refectory for a lovely lunch (main photo).  The food was reasonably priced, but £12 for an Aperol Spritz?!  Ouch!  We then walked around the back of the Minster and through the gardens.  A lovely warm afternoon.  Some stunning old houses - I must have never walked that way before (extras).  Back to the hotel to meet up with big Sis, and more drinks in the bar - much cheaper this time!  We had booked a table at Rustique for dinner, and it was a lovely place right by Clifford's Tower. Very nice meal, and then we came out to heavy rain.  Thankfully not too far back to the hotel!
