Extra Ordinary

I have many blip worthy shots of today but here we have the house I was born in and lived until I was 4 in Dunstable. I remember the little street, and what I perceived as huge chalk cliffs on the main road which meant we were nearly home. Cliffs may be stretching it as it turns out.

Anyway, before all that, had breakfast with Gloria, a wander round her lovely garden, snaffling a bag of apples and then left for my second day of adventure. A double lido day, both chosen for their small community feel and it was delightful. First Woburn lido and then Eversholt Swimming Pool, both by and around Woburn Abbey and Safari park. Eversholt I was the only person in the session, it was simply glorious.

Then a quick drive into Dunstable, surreptitiously taking a photo of our ex- house- it's a tiny quiet close and I didn't really want to be accosted as someone casing the joint. Popped to Sainsbury for milk and bits, crucially not tea bags which i hadn't realised at this point I didn't have and then to my campsite for the night. Very lovely it is too, big and nearly empty, surrounded by rolling hills and beautiful sunsets. Scrounged a few tea bags from two ladies sat outside their campervan, they were here for a work conference! Nice evening of dinner, reading and a bit of telly. And then obvs stayed awake until 1am because I don't normally drink caffeine, a good reminder why!!
