Mitski
Yes, I know you have never heard of her!
Thousands turned out to see her though at All Points East, Victoria Park, London, including me and my two wonderful daughters (second extra). Daughter#1 made a good decision in upgrading our tickets to get VIP Garden access, better seating for food and drink, and proper toilets!
Not a great photo as I couldn't take my camera ('professional looking cameras prohibited!') and by the time Mitski came on as the headline act it was too dark to get the best out of my phone camera, even with playing around with the pro settings.
We liked Beabadoobee too (first extra). I know, you haven't heard of her either. She had a different guitar for almost every song.
There were several stages and lots of other acts you won't have heard of. We saw a few of them, but we had mainly come for Mitski. We really enjoyed her dramatic performance. I don't think she is going to knock Taylor Swift and Adele off the top spots for best concerts daughter#2 has been to this year. She might make the top ten though.
I was disappointed she didn't do Bug Like An Angel. Don't feel obliged to watch this, but if you do Mitski is not the main character. She is the one playing the guitar and singing.
Getting daughter#1 home and us back to our hotel was a bit crazy. We were caught up in those thousands of people trying to get buses and the Tube. By the time we got to the underground station there were what must have been hundreds of people in the queue outside. Luckily wonderful SIL#1 saved us by coming to collect us in his car.
We finally got the hotel just after midnight. There was a plus side to this though as it meant we were able to sing Happy Birthday to daughter#2 as we sped along the A13.
