There’s always one!

BearstedCAN had planned allotment tours around our site and that of The Street for people interested in allotment gardening.

In the heat of the morning people had to listen to me talking about what we were doing on our site and viewing many of the plots, focussing mainly on “no dig”.

We were all grateful to retire to the adjacent Holy Cross church for refreshments and a group photo. We then braved the heat to visit the other site where three plot holders gave interesting description of the plots and methods.

It was a hot walk home and an even hotter afternoon. We languished inside. I was doing stuff, Susan was sitting in the dark with the curtains closed.

Not as hot as when it reached 40c a couple of summers ago, but warm none the less.
