Up close and personal
A ground level looking up at the Standard Class 4 in the yard this morning as it prepares to head the Sunday lunch dining train.
My final official learning turn before a passing out turn which will also be on a Sunday which is our busiest day.
Another long day with three crossing moves and just when we thought it was all over the permanent way manager wanted to do some shunting to extricate loco that was buried in a long line of engines.
Then the Class 20 diesel required refilling. It took over half an hour, goodness knows how many litres of fuel it took. I wouldn’t like to have to pay that bill.
A 9.00am book on and 18.15 book off.
