Dymchurch Beach

It was blowing a hoolie on the coast at Dymchurch this afternoon. Never seen the sand drifting across the beach as much as it was today. It made for interest on the beach. The lines are drifting sand and there were sand dunes piling up around structures and groynes.

There were a few brave families hunkered down behind windbreaks on the vast expanse of sand. One had a full barbecue and about a dozen people, another looked like a wagon train encampment encircled by windbreaks.

At least we enjoyed a coffee and shared a scone, braved the wind and sandblasting for three miles before turning to come back. Very enjoyable return trip which was rounded off with a pint of Unit1 Session IPA at the Unit1 taproom at West Hythe.

Thank you for all your lovely comments and hearts for the Pictorial Meadow and for the signalbox view the other day.
