Pictorial meadow

Seen on the local golf course. What a splash of wonderful unexpected colour. The was no evidence of this that last time we walked here only a few weeks ago.

Different to a natural meadow, nevertheless, bees and other insects were feasting on the abundance. Hopefully, the Club will allow the patch to set seed and come again next year and perhaps create more such spaces. The Club seems to be adopting a more nature friendly approach to the course. I wonder how much other clubs are doing?

This morning we had a band rehearsal ready for our next gig at the Faversham Hop Festival in early September. As befits our name “Drop’ the hard stuff” our is an Irish set.
