And Another Thing…….

The sun shone on us early birds, this morning . It was warm and the large swathe of beach which the ebbing tide had swept clean looked so inviting and so did the sea with not so much as a ripple disturbing its surface. It’s a bit of a paradox that the warmer one feels out of the water, the colder the latter feels as one submerges. The sea was in fact quite warm as befits high summer once the initial shock was over and no ice cream heads were detected nor were any jelly fish spotted by me although the Daughter told me she saw one. I think she would see one if it were the only one within a hundred yards so attuned is she to their presence.
We repaired to McDonald’s for our now customery Egg McMuffins and coffee and for me to change buses.

Robynn , George and Julia came by for coffee and we arranged to meet up on Saturday before they leave for Oman. They are travelling through to Glasgow tomorrow to see  the Glasgow family. Poor George , for 3 weeks he has endured a surfeit of distaff family gatherings here and Portsmouth.

The Glasgow daughter and Nina finally made it to mine yesterday at 5pm . Shopping and the Calton Hill rendezvous with Daughter#1 had held them up. Fortunately it was a lovely evening so we sat outside until they had to leave to catch a train home. Nina agreed to let me take her photo but her mother refused my request.
