Sally Mair - Loving life

A bowl of cherries

I went to church this morning where we had a visiting celebrant as our Rector is on holiday. I rather suspect he's actually organising for his move next month.
After church I headed up to Craigies to bag some of their delicious cherries. The crop has a very short season, only a couple of weeks but the cherries are divine!
The trees are in poly tunnels which is rather strange, I can't understand how I have only been aware of them for only a few years as the trees are fairly mature. Still none of that matters because the crop was good, the fruits plentiful and I have some! Not bad for Scotland!
I picked some strawberries while I was there, see extra. If I tell you that the cherries are about an inch across, you can see how big some of the strawberries are, and absolutely delicious too. We had one each, with some profiteroles, for dessert tonight.
I delivered some strawberries and cherries to Ali & co. I reckon Josie could make quite a mess with that delicious sweet juicy fruit!
Football this evening- we'll see .
