Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

and there's more....

These are my birthday flowers from last Tuesday, they're still going strong.
Today was busy and included a circuit of the city dropping in at various points on route.
I was up at 9 and baking scones in readiness for a visit from Janet our 'soon to be' Rector. We spent an hour and a half chatting and organising and planning. I think she's going to be a real blessing for us.
I headed off at 12.30 to pick up Mike, dropping Janet at the Cathedral on the way. Mike and I headed to Meggetland and had our regular Cursillo Reunion. Just the two of us today. We had plenty to share and encourage each other with. Strangely enough Janet did a placement at Mike's church in her training so knows him and his wife fairly well. Small world this Pisky part of it is.
After I dropped Mike back in Morningside I started my blip tour, first to visit Flummgumery and pick up some jam jars, then across to Liberton to visit Marchmont and collect the car seats I'd lent her.... How did I ever manage without blippers in my life! From Liberton I headed across country via Craigmillar Castle to Meadowbank to drop some stuff into the Salvation Army shop. My circuit of the city then continued to the wonderful cobbler in Edina Street off Easter Road, a proper old fashioned cobbler.
As always they weren't in the least fazed by what I had thought was a complicated repair job. My last stop was at Katy's to welcome them back. Isobel has a dance competition at the weekend so was at a final rehearsal. They are all off to visit the other grandparents tomorrow so I wanted the chance to see least see some of them before they disappeared again.
When I got home I set to, sending emails which had come up as a result of my meeting this morning.
Tomorrow has to be quieter than this, although Ali and I have some driving to do! Actually I don't think I'd have it any different.
