A life time of quilts
displayed through the park so that
all could enjoy them

I picked up my friend G at 8:30 so we could head off to a very special quilt show in Salmon Arm. It was set for just this one day in Haney Park, where we'd enjoyed tea last month.

The show was to highlight the quilts of Diane J., a local quilting guru for many years. I took my first class with Diane in 1990 and grew as a quilter with her kind assistance. She maintained a lovely shop in the countryside for many years, but closed it and 'retired' recently. Diane has a huge following so we turned out today to admire her years of quilts that were hung around the village and inside the buildings. She's the lady with the big smile.

G and I enjoyed ourselves immensely with chance encounters with other quilters we know. We stopped for lunch at the Sprig of Heather restaurant on site.

It was a brilliant sunny day in Salmon Arm with a slight breeze to encourage us. We were back home in Kamloops by 3 PM.
