I'm happy to be
back on home turf once again,
The marmots missed me!

I was up and on my way to McArthur Island Park at 6. It is a beautiful morning but the day will heat up quickly.

I drove into the east entrance and had a quick look at the slough there. No activity there this morning, so I drove on to the Butterfly Garden on the north side. I got a shot of the foot bridge and its reflections, then took a shot into the flower bed that was just catching the sun.

There was an odd little old man 'dumpster diving' on the north side. He parked in the middle of the roadway, got out and started rummaging through the garbage bin for recyclable items. He seemed oblivious to all else and had trouble getting in his doors. On the south side of the drive he nearly clipped the side of my car as he went by, so I kept my distance.

I got a shot from the south side of the Rivers Trail across the river to the downtown. All looks quiet this morning.

I just had to stop for a few marmot portraits. They obliged by pausing in their frolics to stare at me.

I'm home today with a trek to the bank at some point. Always more paperwork!
