On the moor
Ailie and I had a lovely 5 mile walk round the moor and only got a bit damp - it rained before we went and just started again as we were on the last stretch back. It was great to see her again - she had Covid so wasn’t socialising at election time.
I made us a light lunch. Mr C had to take the car in to get a slow puncture fixed.
I’ve worked on my Baltic Blurb book.
Thomas just phoned with his SATS scores. He got 105 for grammar, 107 for comprehension and 120 for Maths. 120 is the highest you can get so he’s over the moon, especially as he didn’t do any practice papers at home.
Bought train tickets to meet old uni friends in Edinburgh. Memory is so strange - I thought we’d last met in Glasgow but it could have been around 15 years ago. I remember a chugger coming up to me in the street and I was polite but declined to join their charity. Moyra said they obviously could see I was the soft touch (obviously I remember that because her remark annoyed me!) Wilma had no idea when but said it was Glasgow, and named the restaurant but said Liz didn’t come and Moyra didn’t want to split the bill - she just wanted to itemise what she had. Liz says she can’t even remember what she did last week so hadn’t a clue apart from it was Glasgow. Moyra says it was Edinburgh. I found the photo proof. 16 years ago, Glasgow and we were all there.
