Cold and wet
We had a nice time at Chris’s. Phil and Carol were there too. Chris made lamb curry! I’m afraid I let rip at her son who said with great authority that all the political parties were the same.
Today it has rained all day. I worked on the Baltic book in the morning then Mr C drove me to “In Stitches” group at the far end of Pindicherry. I couldn’t drive as there would be nowhere to park. It was a pleasant afternoon with 8 other women. Adrienne said she’d been offered the cotton and pattern to make a bedspread but couldn’t take it on. Nobody else wanted to either. I suggested we all do a square and raffle it to raise money for the women’s refuge. That went down well so we’ll try to get it done by Xmas. I walked the 1.5 miles back in the rain as I could get dry when I got home and really needed a bit of air.
An old uni friend is coming over to Glasgow from her home in Canada so I’m trying to arrange a meet up with her and the two others in our little group in Edinburgh. (They are in Dunblane and Glasgow and I’m south of the border so it seems a compromise though it will be busy with the festival).
Here’s a dripping rose.
