Sally Mair - Loving life

Cat in a box

There's no need to say any more really!
It was nice to sleep in my own bed last night and I made the most of it.
Today I went into town on the bus to pick up an order from John Lewis.
I took my time coming home and stopped in Victor Hugo for a filled baguette and cup of tea. My decision making pets were clearly having a day off. When asked if I wanted the baguette toasted, I couldn't decide so had half toasted and half cooked! Both were enjoyable but I think the toasted just had the edge.
I'm going to a friend's for coffee tomorrow so made a batch of shortbread so I could take some round to her. It will be nice to catch up.
Isobel and Katy came to stay overnight as Katy is on call again and Jon on nights. Eilidh is at Scripture Union camp this week with a church friend. She's been looking forward to it.
Isobel is enjoying the after-school club holiday club. They are off to the beach and to the Soft Play Centre tomorrow so they'll be tired out I should think.
I see the forecast is for it to be two degrees colder tomorrow...really, 14°?
