Sally Mair - Loving life

Not a frog

I was up early this morning to take Isobel to her holiday club at school. What a remarkable difference in traffic now it's the school holidays, so many fewer (is that right? I'm too tired to think straight.) It took hardly any time to get there.
They were off to the park in Portobello on the bus today then to soft play. She was looking forward to it.
I came home and popped in the garden a little and filled the bird feeders. I see the pigeons made the most of my absence at the weekend and cleared many of the blackcurrants for me :-(
I went to visit a church friend at lunchtime and spent time discussing our forthcoming vacancy.
Ali and Bonnie canes other in the afternoon, she's starting on some solids now she's over 6 months. Our other son in law came up later on to pick up their car which was here over night while Katy was on call . There was excitement in Comely Bank this afternoon with the roads closed for a couple of hours because of a suspected explosive device found in a garden. Everything was reopened fairly quickly though so I guess it was either a false alarm or disposed of quickly and safely.
Today's blip is of the two water lily buds in the fishpond, looking forward to seeing them open soon.
