Jane Austen’s House

We went to Jane Austen’s house at Chawton this morning, arriving at opening time for our pre-booked visit. I so enjoyed it, and loved soaking up the atmosphere and seeing all the exhibits. 

I was also delighted that our 13-year old granddaughter wanted to buy a copy of Pride and Prejudice while she was there. 

Our son cooked another delicious meal for lunch, and we sat outside round the fire pit afterwards and chatted for ages, while a couple of red kites wheeled around every so often above us. All in all, a very pleasant day.
