Looking up again
A beautiful day, really sunny, and in the low 20s, so it felt like a lovely warmth, but not hot. In the morning, at the allotment, watering, weeding, cutting back and staking plants which have suddenly grown bigger than their allocated space.
At lunchtime I met my friend P, who lives in Bournemouth, at Oldbury Court park in east Bristol, as she is here for a conference. We had a fab afternoon walking in the huge park, which has a children’s playground and cafe at the entrance, but then extends far along either side of the river Frome, with massive fields of long grass and wild flowers, and a huge variety of trees - clearly planted deliberately for their beauty, in Victorian times. Her little dog had a great time running about, and we enjoyed three benches, one ice cream, one coffee and cake, and a good catch up about life. We only did 8000 steps in about 4 hours! Because we were both looking at everything - I’m sure she would make a good blipper. This is from when we were walking down a shady path towards the river.
