The Loire and The Chateau at Montsoreau

Leisurely wake up and coffee followed by an English cooked breakfast for a change - we’ll be back to the boulangerie tomorrow morning but it was a one off interlude from cuisine francaise. We did walk down to the town for a café au lait and then had a fairly lazy day before a swim and venturing out to another more traditional French restaurant next door to the one we were at last night Le P’tit Bar de Mestré where we had a delicious meal accompanied by a lovely Saumur Red. All the wines in the region are Cabernet Franc grape - one of my favorites. Hopefully L will have captured a good photo of the sunset (bgleyna) as she has just wandered off to find a good vantage point. Still enjoying so much this idyllic spot by the Loire river.
