Goat’s Beard

It’s a while since I’ve raided my supplies of gathered seed heads, but today’s the turn of this meadow salisify to have its moment in the spotlight. Described as like a dandelion clock on steroids, it’s also apparently known as Goat’s Beard. I just love the textures of the individual pappus parachutes with their tiny bristles.

Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting Abstract Thursday, and Miranda for WFW!
