Bleeding Hearts (and a bleeding finger!)

This morning, we packed up and cleaned my Mum's house, before heading for our home. Just before we left, I snatched a photo of the Dicentra spectabilis (Bleeding Heart) still flowering in her garden. It's such a striking flower form, I think. (I do have a couple of small plants myself, but this year they have been ravaged by the slugs and snails,so haven't flowered.)
I was pleasantly surprised to see how much my own garden has developed over the week I've  been away, with lots more flowers (and potential blips!) having appeared. Peter tortoise seemed very excited to see me but I suspect it was because  I was bearing edible goodies. The neighbours have been feeding him in our absence  and reported him being ravenous.
I visited my Mother  this afternoon. Unfortunately she managed to snag  a finger on a rose thorn while we walked in the garden. However, most reassuringly, within ten minutes  of us reporting the injury, it had been cleaned, photographed, and dressed, by a registered nurse!
