Watering
Last Autumn, eleven small trees were planted on the local recreation ground. Now it is summer they need to be watered regularly, and there is a rota of local groups/families/individuals to carry this out. Our local conservation group have our turn this week and next. This morning, Martin and I did our first shift with the Parish water bowser. It's been a very hot day so we'll need to water the trees again either tomorrow or Thursday.
Later this morning, I went to Romsey by bus, where there is a very nice department store, to buy some birthday gifts for my mother.
Later this afternoon we did some work in the garden. Martin practised using his scythe again.
