Divine Light

We've had a beautiful Sunny Day.  A lazy morning doing a few jobs then a visit to the village/town of Corbridge, as recommended by our campsite owner, and  he was right to recommend.  What a gorgeous place full of beautiful sandstone buildings, bespoke shops, pubs and cafes, a wonderful greengrocer (strawberries were delish) and an Alladins Cave of a hardware shop where we bought a new sink plug for 'Matilda'.  Corbridge reminded us of Stockbridge in Hampshire, fabulous but a bit expensive!

Then off to Hexham to do a bit of shopping to restore the depleting food supplies after a tour of the ancient and iconic Abbey, parts of which date back to the 7th Century.  To add to the wonderful atmosphere Matthew, the resident organist, struck some very fine chords on the amazing organ, the back of which you can see in my main blip  looking towards the Nave and Font.

Back to 'Matilda' for a late dinner and those delicious strawberries, raspberries and cream.
