Larapinta Trail

The trail is about 220km, the first section to Simpsons Gap 24.7km. We did the first 400m to the cemetery, disturbing zebra finches and flocks of wild budgerigars, then returned to the old telegraph station where workers were setting up for this evening’s “off train experience” for Ghan passengers. 

A short walk along the well-marked Bradshaw track back to town.
