Todd River
We’re in Alice Springs, in the Northern Territory, for a nature and culture sort of holiday, staying across the river from the town centre. It’s a low rise place, the centre run down and the main pedestrian mall almost deserted after 2pm when the art galleries and cafes close. A couple of blocks away I had to show a police officer my photo ID and have it scanned at the checkout to buy wine. The NT has a banned drinkers register.
The post in the riverbed might be to measure water levels.
Some extras, if you’re interested.
