Little Miami trail

Saturday
After yesterday afternoon in the car, and before the temperature spikes going into tomorrow, we headed to the bike trail, starting from Morrow. As you can see from the top right of my collage, the river was a popular place to be today -lots of canoes and kayaks out. There were numerous clumps of colourful day lilies bordering the trail, which made for a cheerful sight.
The bridge we passed under is the Jeremiah Morrow bridge which goes the major north-south Interstate 71across the deep valley. This bridge, a pair of concrete box girder bridges was built between 2010 and 2016. It is 2,252 ft long, and 239 feet high, making them the highest bridges in Ohio. These two spans replaced the original Warren truss bridges opened in 1965,:which were similar in design and age as the I-35W Mississippi River bridge which collapsed in 2007.
Other than that, I was cleaning the camper, and other jobs, while Roger was setting up sprinklers on the grass with the hot dry weather coming up.
Three blips posted this evening - do check them out!
