Elephant in the clouds!

Friday 14 June
The day began with a mixture of clouds and sun, but it wasn’t long before we noticed the clouds turning rather dark through the trees. We had just finished our breakfast outside at the picnic table, when the rain started, so we beat a hasty retreat inside. It rained quite heavily, accompanied by rumbles of thunder until almost 11 am when it began to clear up. Fortunately, check out time wasn’t until 1pm. We had the bikes on the rack at the front of the camper already, but we still had to get the kayaks on the car, as well as readying the camper for towing. We got most of the jobs done, then went for a shower to clean up and cool off before setting off. The weather was mainly dry for our return journey, just a few short sharp showers at one point. There were some pretty cloud formations at times - I could see an elephant head in the lower left of this shot - can you?
Tomorrow back home should be a pleasantly warm day, but then it suddenly jumps up going into Sunday, and we have a week or ten days of temperatures in the 90s F (low to mid 30s C)!
