Albertine
I think this is an Albertine rose. I have always loved them, bit scruffy but with carmine buds and a soft tea fragrance. This rose was a few flowers on a lot of dead wood last year and we pulled it off (I say ‘we’ someone did it for me) and cut back all the dead wood and this year it has burst into flower. And luckily deer can’t climb so it’s safe (bit nibbled round the edges). It gladdens my heart in the morning sun and gladdened it again when I got home at 7pm this evening. Slightly earlier than usual. I think the roses are enjoying the cool spring/summer enough rain for growth and then cool for the flowers
Very cool today.
Went to the VFX sign off for the morning and then into the office. And as my 5pm zoom cried off I went home!
V back later and tired from a long school day. We watched another Rebus having committed thus far but it is a bit dull.
