The evening sun shines on the mountains of Kampenwand in the distance and the castle in the village of Aschau, where we stayed for three nights.
As it was raining earlier we went to Rosenheim which has beautiful tall old houses with facades in various pastel colours and many interesting buildings and statues.
The squares depict scenes below the sculpture of the Three Market Women Fountain which symbolise the three stages of life – youth, prime and old age. I have been unable to interpret the scenes but perhaps they also symbolise stages of life in the town.
