Our American visitors have spent their holiday visiting the major tourist towns in Britain including Glasgow and Edinburgh so it seemed an ideal opportunity to show them some of the beautiful countryside of the Borders.  After visiting Monteviot gardens we visited Jedburgh and Melrose  abbeys although unfortunately the actual interiors are still boarded up but it is possible to walk in the grounds around.
