A drive to the lake
always sets a relaxing
tone for the whole day

I was enjoying some granola before 5 but I waited until almost 6 to drive up the hill to Paul Lake.

I drove into the Provincial Park and parked near the picnic site by the lakeside. It was so calm and peaceful. An eagle flew over the lake and I could hear a loon's call far, far away.

The reflections on the lake were beautiful and clear. I took shots east and west from the lake shore. I looked along the pathway in the picnic area. Across the lake, the forest was mirrored in the water.

As I drove back down the hill I stopped for a shot of the old cabin. My last shot was a long one. The horses were pasturing on the slopes below Mt. Paul. It was a stretch for my telephoto lens.

I picked up my usual coffee on the way home. I'm home today with odd jobs waiting for me.
